The Christian Education Committee works to provide all members of the congregation with opportunities to grow in Jesus Christ and in their understanding of our Christian faith. Members of the committee plan, organize and oversee many programs, including:• Sunday Church School for pre–K through 8th grade. There is also a “Crib Room” for infants and toddlers. In addition to regular Sunday classes, there are many special Sunday School events during the year. |
|
• Youth Ministries: a well established and strong program for Senior High and Middle School (“Middlers”) youth, the FPC Youth Group provides opportunities for fellowship, small group discussion, mission involvement and retreats. • Summer Quest is a very special summer camp experience for 6th–9th graders |

Fellowship Committee is an extremely committed group of people. We provide an opportunity for all who are a part of our church family to experience social gatherings alongside the Worship Experience.
Besides these special events we also arrange for volunteers for our weekly coffee hour following most Sunday services, as well as provide the supplies needed.
|
The events listed below are the annual “Special Events” which Fellowship plans, executes, and cleans up after.
We are always happy to welcome new members to our committee. All that is required is enthusiasm. |

The Membership Committee’s main responsibility is to bring in new Members as well as keep existing Members active in the life of our church. This Committee also facilitates the New Members Inquirer’s Classes, which are held several times a year. One of our most recent challenges was to create the Website you are currently viewing. In addition, we are updating to a new High Speed Cable connection to improve our communication with Communities near and far. |

The Nominating Committee consists of Elders, Deacons, Trustees and members of the Congregation at Large. They meet, as necessary, to recommend nominees for the election of Elders, Deacons, Trustees, Auditors, Foundation Trustees and any other positions designated by the Session.
When considering a candidate to nominate, the committee reflects on his or her Church involvement as well as personal characteristics and skills, such as cooperativeness, willingness to learn, openness to new ideas and maturity of judgment.

The primary goal of the Personnel Committee is to create and sustain an ongoing dialogue with each staff member. The aim is to critically evaluate performance and maximize individual potential and insure that the Christian Fellowship and encouragement that is shown to other members of our community of faith is extended to all staff members.
The Personnel Committee consists of four members. A minimum of two and a maximum of three must be current Session members; the remainder are at-large members of the Congregation. The term is a maximum of four years. While committee members are accountable to Session, a high degree of discretion and a level of confidence are kept in relation with staff. Each member of the committee is a liaison to a staff member and is an advocate for that person, meeting at least twice a year to discuss personnel concerns.
The Committee meets quarterly to discuss job functions and requirements and at least once annually to review compensation and other concerns. From annual reviews the Personnel Committee advises Session regarding staff requirements to perform their jobs. Personnel reports to the Stewardship and Finance Committee regarding annual compensation recommendations and to Session for approval of these recommendations prior to the Annual Congregational Meeting. Any changes in terms of call for ordained staff come to the Annual Congregational Meeting.

Stewardship
Stewardship is about making choices, as individuals and in the community. It is about being faithful disciples. Stewardship reminds the congregation that giving is an important piece of being a member of the Church. Just turning up every Sunday is not enough. With Stewardship the Church is guided through it's road to Christ's meaning and we remind the congregation of this every year with the Stewardship campaign.
Finance
The main function of this piece of the committee is to ensure there is an operating budget for the Church to use. Gathering budget requirements from the different committees and planning how much will be donated brings the budget together for the coming year.
